It is not everyday you see an armada of luxury yachts from all over Europe descend upon one city, but Nafplio in the Peloponnese is hosting dozens of vessels for the rich and famous ahead of a maritime show this weekend.
The Mediterranean Yacht Show, which takes place between April 28 and May 1, will showcase professional yachts and crews from all over the continent. It has emerged as one of the most notable exhibitions for crewed yachts globally.
Last year’s show set a new record with 96 registered yachts and more than 300 attendees from around the world.
Thousands of people are expected to visit Nafpio over the next four days to take a close-up look at these expensive boats.
Running parallel to the yacht show there will also be a chefs’ competition.
Organizers say that chefs from the regions best luxury crewed yachts will emerge from their galleys ready to engage in a battle of flavors to impress the presiding judges.
