Hundreds of International Students Join 'The Crete Trip 2018'

The highlight of the first day of #TheCreteTrip2018 was the noisy Flag Parade in the streets of Heraklion

At least 850 students from 75 countries studying in Greece via the Erasmus program have traveled to Crete to learn about the island’s culture.
The Crete Trip 2018, the largest initiative of foreign students visiting Greece, is run with the support of the region of Crete, and is organized by the Erasmus Student Network Greece.
The four-day cultural event that begun on Thursday is being organized for the eighth consecutive year.
Students will be using the hashtag #LostInCrete and sharing experiences via Facebook here and via Instagram here. The slogan this year is “I’m getting lost in Crete with no intention of coming back.”
Erasmus Student Network is a non-profit international student organization. Its mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of “students helping students.”
