Greek police dismantled a drug ring which was importing and distributing huge quantities of cocaine in the country.
A 43-year-old foreign national and two Greeks were arrested in the Athens district of Nea Halkidona on Saturday afternoon, after 20 packages of cocaine with a total weight of 16 kilograms (35 lbs.) were found in a suspect vehicle.
An investigation revealed that the foreign national was one of the heads of a criminal organisation that imported cocaine for the two Greek suspects to distribute.
Police found and confiscated €1,620 ($1,900) in cash, three cellphones and a car.
