Lightning Strikes Bus in Northern Greece, No Injuries

A bus that was hit by lightning in northern Greece on Saturday afternoon was completely incinerated but no passenger was injured, according to e-evros.gr.
The coach that was on the Alexandroupolis – Orestiada route in the Evros Region. It was full of passengers when it was hit by lightning at 4 in the afternoon while in the village of Monastiraki, just outside Feres town.
Luckily, thanks to the driver’s immediate reaction, the passengers evacuated and no injuries were reported. Soon the bus was completely consumed by flames.
Six Fire Department vehicles and 18 men rushed to the spot to prevent the flames from spreading to the surrounding area.
