The seas around Greece’s Attica region will be quieter this summer as a partial ban on jet skis is rolled out from June to September.

The Piraeus Port Authority says the gasoline-powered craft will be banned between 2 and 5 p.m. during the summer months.

Jet skis, which can retail for anything between $5,000 to $18,000 have been restricted in other counties over environmental and safety concerns.

However, owners of the craft and rental businesses claim they have been unfairly singled out for restriction.
