In a dramatic development on Thursday, a Greek-owned air travel firm suspended new ticket sales and made 180 workers in Athens redundant.
Tripsta SA — which owns Airtickers.gr and Travelplanet24 — said “unfair” tactics by international competitors had forced the decision.
New ticket sales will be suspended as Tripsta restructures its operations. Customers who have already purchased tickets through the two sites will not be affected.
