Huge Cruise Ship Dwarfs Greece's Nafplio (photos, video)

Cruise ship MS Oosterdam, carrying more than 1,800 passengers, made a spectacular entrance to the Gulf of Nafplio in the Peloponnese on Friday.
The Dutch-flagged vessel, charted during the Athens 2004 Olympics to accommodate officials, anchored off the port which is unable to host such big ships.

Passengers were transported with smaller vessels inland where they boarded taxis, buses and mini-vans to visit the archaeological site of Epidaurus and its ancient theater.

Oosterdam, in service since 2003, has been cruising the Aegean in July.
