Hundreds of music and dance lovers were treated to an amazing tango night on Tuesday in the famous open-air Petra Theatre in Athens.
World famous Argentinian dancer and choreographer Natalia Ηills fronted the Buenos Tangos – Romper el Piso show currently touring all over Greece.
It was a musical and dance tribute to all the great names of tango: from Carlos Gardel and Alfredo Le Pera to Juan D ‘Arienzo, Anibal Troilo, José María Contursi and Astor Piazzolla.
Dancers from Compania Tangueros del Sur collaborated with Tango Acropolis to revive the magic of tango and its evolution through the decades.
Argentine dancers took part, accompanied by a seven-member live orchestra under the direction of Ivan Talanin. Athenian dance enthusiasts had the opportunity to enjoy the real feel the tango and live a unique dance spectacle.
The Buenos Tangos – Romper el Piso show has been hailed as ‘True Tango’ by the New York Times recently and has captured worldwide audiences.
It is now touring throughout Greece.
