Helpless Puppy Sprayed Red in Latest Animal Cruelty Case in Greece

Animal rights activists in Greece have strongly condemned the spaying of a stray dog with red hair coloring.

Pictures of a stray puppy wandering the streets of Halkida, in Evia, covered in red paint have produced anger in Greek social media.

The dog was eventually rescued and is undergoing treatment at a veterinary clinic.

This is the latest incident of animal cruelty in Greece. In March, video footage showing two Greek soldiers tormenting a dog before throwing it off a cliff had shocked the public and led to the culprits being arrested.
