A diver had his leg severed in a grisly speedboat incident off the coast of Greece’s Salamina island, local media have reported.
The 44-year-old victim had been spearfishing when he was struck by the craft piloted by a 61-year-old.
The Hellenic Coast Guard told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency that despite being rushed to a local health center, the diver failed to regain consciousness and was later pronounced dead.
Police have detained the driver of the boat, who will face a prosecutor.
