Perseid Meteor Storm to Light Up Greek Skies

The most spectacular summer shower of shooting stars, the Perseid meteor storm, will reach its peak on Monday at dawn and will be visible across Greece and the northern hemisphere.
Those who stay awake will have the opportunity to observe the phenomenon. The sky will be dark because of the new moon which will make the observation easier.
The Perseids are one of the most spectacular meteor shower phenomena every year because of their brightness and speed which makes them develop long, fiery ‘tails’.
Despite the fact they originate mostly from north-northeast of the constellation of Perseus, they appear everywhere in the sky and not at a specific spot.
