Free Entrance to Archaeological Sites and Museums in Celebration of August full moon

Entrance to archaeological sites and museums will be free throughout Greece to the public on the evening of Sunday, August 26 in celebration of the full moon.
From August 24 through 27, 95 sites will also be holding free concerts, tours, movie screenings, theatrical shows, poetry readings and guided cultural tours – all a part of the agenda of the Culture Ministry’s celebration of August’s full moon.
The event saw over 75,000 visitors last year and has been an ongoing initiative since 2002.
This year’s event is part of the array of activities organized for the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
