Greek Police Bust Drug Trafficking Gang and Seize Over 27 kg of Cannabis



Greek police have busted a significant drug racket in raids in Athens, as well as Fthiotida and Patra in central and western Greece.

The bust took place last Thursday, and on Monday the Greece Police (ELAS) announced that they had confiscated over 27 kilograms of cannabis.

Also seized during the raid is equipment that the gang was using to run their organization such as a gun, 4,000 euros in cash, many precision scales, along with 26 cell hones and additional evidence of the drug ring, including a speedboat, allegedly used to transport drugs.

ELAS announced that they arrested three Greeks and two foreign nationals in the raids last Thursday, and they are still tracking down three additional suspects.
