Fire on Eleftherios Venizelos Ferry Has Been Extinguished After 3 days (Video)

After burning for three days, the fire that engulfed the island ferry Eleftherios Venizelos has been extinguished.
The ferry’s route connects Crete to the mainland Greece and it was in service at the time it caught on fire.
Authorities say that the fire started in the parking bay, which at the time held some 80 buses and trucks as well as 152 cars and motorcycles.
None of the 875 passengers or 141 crew members on board the ferry were injured, despite the heavy smoke, and the ferry was able to complete its trip to its destination, Piraeus.
