Greece's Foreign Minister Kotzias Replies to Turkey's Cavusoglu

The issue of the 8 Turkish Military Officers who fled to Greece in order to escape prosecution is still an issue that creates problems between Turkey and Greece.
During the inauguration of the revamped Greek Consulate in Turkey’s Izmir city on the Aegean coast, the Turkish Foreign Minister mentioned the issue that puts shades upon the relations of the neighboring countries, saying that “Turkey will never welcome people who are considered to be traitors, coup plotters or terrorists by the Greeks,” implying that Greece provided shelter to the 8 Turkish officers.
The Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Kotzias, replied to the innuendo of the Turkish Minister. Kotzias notied that the only concern of the Hellenic Republic is the respect of the Rule of Law and the International Law, which are the foundations upon which our relationship of cooperation and friendship is built, as well as our common destiny in Europe.
