U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said in Thessaloniki on Saturday there is more room for Greece and the United States to boost commercial ties.
Speaking at the Thessaloniki International Fair, the U.S. official named tourism, energy, shipping and technology as being among the areas in which the two countries could do more business together.
The U.S. Commerce Secretary said that the Trump administration regards Greece as a friend and ally and intends to support it as much as possible. The result of this policy, he said, is the participation of so many U.S. companies in the TIF and said that Greece was the fastest growing source of investment from the U.S. reaching $ 1.8 billion.
“The Trump administration will support Greece as much as possible,” Ross said.
