The First Civil Partnership in Greece Takes Place in Volos (Photos)

Nathan and Chris have traveled many times in Greece and they fell in love with the country and its countless beauties. They are also in love with each other.
Volos, Greece

So they decided to get married in Greece’s Volos, the sea-side port city of Thessaly in Central Greece, with its magnificent beaches and the amazing Pelion mountain; the home of the Mythological Centaurs.
Along with the couple, friends and relatives travelled to Greece to attend their wedding.

Marriage between same-sex couples is still not fully recognized in Greece. However, significant steps have been taken regarding LGBT rights, and last year the Greek Parliament passed an amendment that allowed Civil Partnerships between same-sex couples.
