New Poll Finds New Democracy 5.5% Ahead of SYRIZA


A new poll conducted by Prorata was published today by the Greek newspaper Efimerida Ton Syntakton. and according to the poll, the Center-Right New Democracy party leads SYRIZA by 5.5 percent, reaching 24.5 percent of the vote while Left-wing SYRIZA gets 19 percent.
In the third place, we find the Social-Democratic Movement of Change (Kinima Allagis), with 7 percent.

Fourth is the Neo-Nazi Group of Golden Dawn (Chrysi Avgi) with 6 percent and in the fifth place comes the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) with 4.5 percent.
Independent Greeks (ANEL) who co-govern with SYRIZA reach 1 percent of the vote.
People were also asked about the upcoming pension cuts.
68 percent of them said that they don’t want the cuts to be implemented but most of them are pessimistic believing that eventually the cuts will be imposed.
Regarding the issue of General Elections, 58 percent of those who answered to the poll said that they want a General Election to be called in the next 6 months, with 38 percent opposing this prospect.
