FYROM's PM: 'Macedonian' Language and People Recognized by the Whole World

A week before the crucial referendum on the Prespa Agreement with Greece, FYROM’s prime minister Zoran Zaev said that the “Macedonian” language and the “Macedonian” people are recognized by the whole world.
Zaev’s statement through Twitter is bound to anger critics of the agreement in Greece who believe that Athens made concessions without getting anything concrete in return from Skopje.

In the same tweet, Zaev calls on all “Macedonians” to go out and vote in the September 30 referendum.”On September 30 we write history”, he says.
Earlier in the week, FYROM’s state agency MIA retracted a statement attributed to Zaev that angered Greeks.
The FYROM PM was initially quoted as saying: “The northern part of Greece is Greece, the western part of Bulgaria is Bulgaria. There is no other Macedonia but ours. There is no other in the world.”
The statement was later amended to read: “a part of the geographical region of Macedonia is in Greece, a part is in Bulgaria and the northern part is in our country.”
