Greek Summer Comes to an Abrupt End Next Week

Greek meteorologists say that the weather will change from Tuesday bringing an end to the warm sunshine that continued most of September.
Temperatures are set to drop on average by 12 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and strong northerly winds of up to 9 Beaufort may create problems in ferry routes between mainland Greece and the Aegean islands.
According to the weather forecasts the midday temperature in Athens will drop from 34°C on Monday to 26°C on Tuesday and 22°C on Wednesday.
The same weather pattern is forecast for Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city where on Wednesday midday temperature will not exceed 22°C.
