Katsifas 'Executed' Claims Largest Greek Organization in Albania (video)

Omonoia, the social, political and cultural organization that promotes the rights of Albania’s Greek minority, has asserted that Konstantinos Katsifas was executed by Albanian forces. Katsifas was shot and killed by Albanian police on Sunday.
In a statement, the organization accuses the Albanian police of failing to observe “engagement rules,” resulting in the “unjust death” of Katsifas.
It also accuses Tirana of perpetuating “psychological violence” against the Greek ethnic minority, and some Albanian media of “anti-Greek propaganda that has been intensifying recently.”
According to the Albanian police, the 35-year-old fired at police after he refused to surrender near the village of Bularat (Vouliarates), four miles from the Greek-Albanian border.
The shooting occurred after Albanian police forces allegedly removed the Greek flag following the ”Oxi Day” celebrations in the village.
Footage shows Albanian special forces storming in the village six kilometers (four miles) from the Greek-Albanian border.
