Bringing together expats from Cyprus, Greece, and Egypt, the Nostos II program took place in London on Wednesday and Thursday.
Fotis Fotiou, the Cypriot presidential commissioner for human rights and for Cypriots overseas, described the meetings and events held in London as part of the Nostos II program as “very very productive.”

Nostos aims at bringing together the diasporas of Cyprus, Greece, and Egypt. This year’s program, Nostos II, followed in the footsteps of the initial Nostos meetings which were held in Alexandria, Egypt last May. This year’s aim was to explore the collaboration of the three countries’ expatriates in health and tourism.

Speaking at a the program’s closing event, a joint cultural exhibition held at the EU’s London offices, Fotiou said he and his counterparts, Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Terence Quick and Egyptian Minister for Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram, were encouraged by the success of the program.
