New Earthquake Hits Near Zakynthos as Aftershocks Continue



    A new earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale jolted the island of Zakynthos in the early hours of Friday, a week after the area was hit by a tremor with a magnitude of 6.4.

    The latest quake was recorded at 4:33 a.m. and was felt throughout southern Greece. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

    Notably, following last week’s quake, the island of Zakynthos moved at least three centimeters to the southwest.
