A 4-year-old boy was killed and 27 people were injured on Friday night when a van carrying migrants collided with a truck on a side road of the Thessaloniki-Kavala national highway.
The van that was carrying migrants collided head-on with the truck, leading to the death of the child and the injuries of 27 people.
According to Seleo.gr local news website, two migrant traffickers are among the injured, who are nationals of Iraq, Somalia, and Bangladesh.
The report says that the van driver was also undocumented and was illegally transporting the migrants from Evros to Thessaloniki.
Rescuers transferred the injured to the New Maditos Health Center. The condition of the injured is unknown at the time.
