This year, the winter seemed to rush to visit Greece. In the last few days, the country saw temperatures well below the freezing point, and mountainous towns and villages, as well as the lowlands of the northern Greece, saw snowfall that in some places reached a depth of 30 centimeters.
One of the most impressive scenes from the early snow-covered areas of Greece came from the West Macedonian town of Florina.

Sakoulevas, the town’s famous river, was nearly frozen and the beautiful Neoclassical buildings that are built along the river’s banks created a magical atmosphere.

Florina is well-known for its low temperatures, as the local climate due to the topography of the region allows temperatures to drop dramatically in a short period of time.https://greekreporter.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=572028&action=edit
Bikes, ducks, frozen water and snow-covered roofs created an early Christmas fairytale scene for the first time this winter, in one of Greece’s most picturesque towns.
