Two individuals wearing masks over their faces are responsible for damage caused to the guardhouse on the ancient site of Pnyx Hill in Athens, according to the Hellenic Police.
The two men threatened the archaeological site’s security guard, forcing him to rush inside the guardhouse to protect himself. Later, they threw rocks at him and broke a window in the guardhouse.
According to state-run news service AMNA, the perpetrators of the attack shouted to the guard that if he turned people away again “we shall come back and then you’ll see.”
