Record High Oil Production from Greece's Prinos Oil Fields

Oil production from Greece’s Prinos deposit in Macedonia, which includes oil fields both inland and offshore, is expected to exceed 4,000 barrels daily and 1.5 million barrels annually.
This breaks all records for the last decade’s oil production, according to Mathios Rigas, Energean group manager and Dimitris Gontikas, the managing director for Greece.
Energean is currently involved in the research and exploration of oil and gas reserves in the regions of Ioannina and Aetoloakarnania, and is expecting licenses to be granted for oil drilling in the western Greek region of Katakolo.
Energean also recently signed a $100-million contract with the Israeli company Natural Gas Lines to supply natural gas from the company’s floating production storage and offloading facility to the Israeli national gas transmission grid.
