Giannis Antetokounmpo has become the new face of the Greek airline “Aegean,” starring in their new airplane safety video. The inspired move by the airline will no doubt lead travelers to pay a bit more attention to their compulsory takeoff presentation.
The “Greek Freak,” who is a star on the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks team, shows that his talents are not just limited to the courts as he presents another side of himself, that of just another friendly, smiling passenger on a flight.
In the video Antetokounmpo is seen demonstrating how to properly fasten a seatbelt. He then walks over into an area resembling a beach, and sits down with a group of old ladies who are knitting there. Oxygen masks suddenly pop out of nowhere, leading the basketball star to show their proper use.
Antetokounmpo then somehow emerges from the bottom of a small boat to display how to find and wear an inflatable life jacket.
If somehow this whole NBA thing doesn’t work out for Antetokounmpo, he’s got a solid backup career as a flight attendant — or maybe even as an actor.
