Police Arrest Greek Shipowner Alexandros Agoudimos for Unpaid Taxes

Greek shipowner Alexandros Agoudimos was detained on Thursday evening after officers discovered he had been convicted of tax-related crime. The shipowner was apprehended following a random check by the Greek police’s DIAS motorcycle unit on Akti Posidonos in Piraeus.

Police booked Agoudimos at the scene and transported him to the local police station, where he spent the night in jail.

Agoudimos appeared before a Piraeus prosecutor on Friday morning regarding the pending sentences he is facing for owing taxes to the Greek state.
