The Aqua Vista hotel chain, a group of the most beautiful luxury hotels in Greece, won four prizes at the Greek Travel Awards which took place in Stockholm, Sweden earlier this month.
Two of its unique hotels, Athermi Suites in Santorini and Acqua Vatos Paros in Paros, were awarded in the category of boutique hotels, in recognition of the high level of services they offer to guests.
The Apricot & Sea Luxury Villas in Naxos received the Family Hotel Award, while the Above Blue Suites in Santorini won first place in the Luxury Resort/Hotel category.

The Greek Travel Awards recognizes the best international promotion of Greek tourist businesses and destinations in the Scandinavian market.
Some 8,120 people from Sweden, 4,250 from Norway and 2,500 from Denmark participated in the voting, and their input contributed 50 percent of the final results.
The remaining 50 percent of votes came from the members of the judging committee.

The trophy for the Greek Travel Award competition depicts the ancient Greek goddess Hestia, who symbolizes the power and soul of Greece. Hestia is the goddess behind all the other gods.
The archetypal symbol of Greek hospitality, she is also the symbol of dedication and sacrifice. The word “Philoxenia”, i.e. hospitality, is written on the statuette in the earliest form of written Greek, Linear B.
