At Least One Injured in "Macedonia" Protest in Northern Greece (video)

Police in the northern Greek town of Ptolemaida used tear gas on Wednesday to break up a demonstration in the center of the town which had been called as a protest against the Prespa Agreement.
One person was injured following scuffles between police and the crowd which had gathered to express its opposition to the agreement under which FYROM was renamed “The Republic of North Macedonia”.
There were angry scenes as demonstrators accused the police of using excessive force to protect Public Order Minister Olga Gerovasili, who was attending a meeting nearby.
Anger over the Prespa Agreement is particularly acute in Macedonia. Instances of verbal abuse of government ministers and officials have proliferated since the Greek parliament ratified the deal which paves the way for North Macedonia’s entry into NATO and the EU.
