Mikis Theodorakis Treated for Heart Problems in Hospital

Renowned Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis has been hospitalized in Athens for over a week after suffering from heart problems, a hospital source said Thursday.
Theodorakis, 93, was transported on February 26 to the private Iatriko Kentro clinic in a northern suburb of the capital.
The composer penned what is probably the best-known piece of Greek music, the theme tune to “Zorba the Greek,” an instrumental which is still played and danced to around the world to this day.
Theodorakis has been hospitalized several times in recent years due to heart problems, including a brief time in August of last year.
