A large fire broke out at a warehouse which stores paper in north-eastern Attica on Monday afternoon.
Eight vehicles from nearby fire stations rushed to the warehouse fire and more than 25 firefighters are trying to extinguish the blaze.
The incident took place early in the afternoon on Monday in the building situated between Olympionikon and Athenas Palladaos streets, very close to an electrical plant in the town of Glyka Nera.
If the fire had managed to reach the electrical plant, the situation would have been much worse, but thanks to the immediate response of the firefighters, that hellish scenario seems to have been avoided.
The fire is not extinguished as of press time, but the firefighters have managed to keep the  under control and contained.
