An extensive search and rescue operation was launched on Wednesday morning in the Aegean Sea.
The operation involves a Greek Navy helicopter and private fishing boats in an attempt to locate a man who fell from a ferry boat in the sea between the islands of Andros and Tinos.
The man had been on board the ferry boat named ”Theofilos” which had as its destination the popular Aegean island of Mykonos.
A passenger saw the man falling off the ferry and informed the crew.
The ferry continued its route to Mykonos and the Navy, along with nearby boats were informed to start searching for the unfortunate man.
As of press time, the man has not been found, and the reason for his fall from the ferry are still unknown.
