A survey conducted recently which polled more than 150,000 people in 143 different countries suggests that the Greeks are the most stressed people in the world.
Gallup’s ”2019 Global Emotions Report” questioned more than a thousand people in each of the 143 countries studied.
Respondents had to answer to simple questions such as whether they had experienced a lot of stress the day before or not.
Fifty-nine per cent of Greek citizens responded positively, saying that they had experienced a great deal of stress.
This had the effect of pushing the country all the way to first place among the 143 total nations that were surveyed.
The survey discovered that Greece and the United States were the only Western nations of the developed world that topped the list, as 55 percent of the Americans claimed that they were experiencing ”a lot of stress” as well.
Other nations which had the dubious honor of landing in the top ten nations for stress included the Philippines, Iran, Costa Rica and Tanzania.
