Greek tennis champion Stefanos Tsitsipas lost to Novak Djokovic in the final of the Mutua Madrid Open on Sunday evening.
Despite his strength and passion, Tsitsipas wasn’t able to bring the Serbian champion down and lost 2-0, scoring 3-6 and 4-6.
Despite the loss to the number 1 tennis player in the world, the 21-year-old Greek phenomenon managed to become the first Greek ever to advance to Mutua Madrid Final.
His career so far makes him Greece’s most successful tennis player in history.
On Saturday, and after his epic win against Spain’s Rafael Nadal, Tsitsipas had acknowledged that it would be a tough final.
