Albanian Inmates Escape From Greek Detention Unit

The Greek police have launched a manhunt for three Albanian inmates who escaped from an Athens detention unit in the early hours of Monday.
A fourth inmate was arrested several hours after the escape from the detention location on Petrou Ralli Street.
Police sources say that the four men started shouting out to officers from their cell and, when officers approached to see what was the matter, they used a makeshift knife to distract and disarm the officers before escaping.
They used a police gun to threaten a guard into releasing them from the unit, and then fled.
The four Albanians had been in held detention over attacks made on other inmates at Attica’s high-security Korydallos Prison.
