For yet another time this year, two Turkish F-16 fighter jets flew over the Greek island of Kinaros at a height of 27,000 feet on Tuesday morning, according to what the state-run AMNA news agency is reporting.
The incident took place at 09:34 am local time (07:34 GMT+1) on Tuesday, June 11, over the small island, which is close to Kalymnos and Leros in Greece’s Eastern Aegean Sea, close to the Turkish shoreline.
The Greek Air Force employed internationally-accepted rules of engagement and intercepted the two Turkish fighters, which then left the area, flying back towards Turkey.
