A large wildfire broke out in Greeceās island of Evia (Euboea), near the capital of Athens, in Central Greece, on Thursday afternoon.
The fire was first noticed in the afternoon at an area which is densely forested with pine and large olive trees, near Pissonas.
Greece’s fire service posted on Twitter that twenty-one men with fourteen vehicles and two aircraft have all rushed to the scene in an attempt to extinguish the fire.
According to the first information available, the exact spot where the fire is believed to have broken out is exceedingly difficult to reach.
