Heatwave With Temperatures Up to 41°C to Hit Greece and Southern Europe

A new phase of very high temperatures is expected to become the main characteristic of weather across Greece and most parts of southern Europe from Wednesday, July 3.
In some cases, the temperatures will be as high as 40-41 degrees Celsius.
The intense heat will prevail in most parts of Greece from Wednesday until Friday as the warm air masses that now affect western Europe move east and gradually start to affect parts of Eastern and Southern Europe.
According to the latest announcement by ”Meteo” weather service of the National Observatory of Athens, the high temperatures will drop gradually as of Friday, while rain and storms are expected in the northern and central parts of the country.
The storms will mainly occur in the afternoons of Thursday and Friday.
