Bono, the singer of the famous Irish rock band U2, was spotted visiting the cosmopolitan islands of Hydra and Mykonos.
During his stay on Hydra, the band’s front-man visited the house bought by Leonard Cohen. The singer took a picture in front of the house with his friends and family.
The picture that was taken was posted on the band’s official Instagram page with the lyrics of Leonard Cohen’s song “Bird on the Wire” as a caption.
Leonard Cohen was a famous songwriter and performer who marked the music scene worldwide. He passed away in November 2016. He bought this traditional house as he was bewitched by the island’s beauty and lived there for 7 years with his partner Marianne, and wrote some his most important work.
After his passing, the street where the house is located was officially named after him.
Bono was later spotted in Mykonos where he arrived with his wife Alison Hewson on a yacht. Footage from Mykonoslive.tv shows the U2 front-man walking on the narrow streets of the island’s capital.
He is known as a philanthropic performer and was crowned as the most politically effective celebrity of all time by the National Journal.
Bono was also identified as “the face of fusion philanthropy”, after leading new organizational networks that bind geopolitical activism and global humanitarian relief with corporate commercial enterprise, as well as enlisting strong allies from the religious, political, and business world.
