Giannis Antetokounmpo Begins Training for Basketball World Cup with Greek Team

NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo started preparing for the Basketball World Cup on Monday, joining other players who are practicing with the Greek training camp.
The participation of the NBA star was announced by the Greek Basketball Federation, along with that of Kostas and Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Kostas Sloukas, and Giorgos Printezis, while the arrival of Nick Kalathis from the United States is still awaited.
The Greek team will officially be presented to the media on Thursday of this week.
Thanasis Skourtopoulos, the coach of the Greek national team, said that the athletes will continue to practice together for a time at OAKA stadium in Athens. Soon after their training is complete, the team will be on Crete for its first tournament from 9-11 August, as part of the Aegean Games.
Greece is scheduled to play against Brazil, Montenegro and New Zealand in the group stage of the World Cup.
