The draw for the UEFA Champions League play-offs was held on Monday, revealing the potential rivals for PAOK and Olympiacos on their way to securing a position in this year’s top European football championship.
Greece’s champion team PAOK, from Thessaloniki, will have to compete against either APOEL from Cyprus or Qarabag from Azerbaijan during the play-off stages.
This will happen, provided that PAOK beats Ajax from the Netherlands in their games that will take place on Tuesday and next week.
The Olympiacos squad will be slated to play against either Russia’s Krasnodar team or Portugal’s Porto, if the team from Piraeus manages to beat Turkey’s Istanbul Basaksehir in their two games, which will take place on Wednesday, August 7 and Tuesday, August 13.
