Giannis Antetokounmpo Returns to Greek National Team with 19 Points and 8 Rebounds (video)

Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to Greece’s national basketball team after two years, helping the blue-and-white beat Hungary 83-59 in Heraklion, Crete on Friday.
The game was a friendly, as Greece prepares for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup to be held in China August 31st-September 15th.
In his unofficial premiere in front of a Greek audience, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar and 2019 NBA MVP was Greece’s top scorer finishing the game with 19 points (5/7 two-pointers, 9/10 shots), 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block in 22 minutes.
The Greek team lined up in the “Two Aorakia” court with Nick Kalathis, Ioannis Papapetrou, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Giannis Bourousis, and Costas Papanikolaou. Kostas Antetokounmpo played very little and scored 2 points.
The score in the four periods was 22-6, 43-28, 66-44, 83-59.
Greek fans applauded enthusiastically the return of the NBA superstar to the national team.
