Greece's Apostolos Papastamos Breaks World Junior Swim Record in Budapest

Greek swimmer Apostolos Papastamos, from Chania, Crete beat the World Junior Record and Championships Record in the final of the men’s 400 Individual Medley in Budapest on Saturday night.
The 18-year old broke the Greek national record of 4:14.41, set by Ioannis Drymonakos in 2012 at the European Championships.
The USA’s Carson Foster set the previous World Junior Record of 4:13.39 at the 2019 U.S. National Championships.
Foster also swam in the final of the 400 IM in Budapest on Saturday night at World Juniors, but he placed sixth, with a time of 4:17.39.
