Greek third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas missed the chance to win the China Open final as he was defeated by Austrian top seed Dominic Thiem in the men’s singles final in Beijing on Sunday.
Thiem needed two hours and 13 minutes to seal the full-sets 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 and leave the court victorious, putting the Greek player behind.
Thiem takes home $ 733,990 dollars in prize money and 500 ATP points with the win, while Tsitsipas will pocket 300 ATP points and $ 364,615.
