Anarchist Group ”Rubicon” Vandalizes Education Minister Kerameus' Office

Greek anarchist group ”Rubicon,” well-known for its ”activist interventions” as it calls them, struck again on Friday, this time at the office of the country’s Minister of Education, Nikki Kerameus.
A group of Rubicon members, whose exact number remains still unknown, threw black paint on the door and the walls of the political office of the Minister, threw down scores of leaflets and wrote slogans on the surrounding walls.
The anarchist group uploaded their own video they had made of their vandalism, writing that ”“We have to decide about the asylum. We need to have as much time as we want for our studies. No student must be excluded from school.”
The group was referring to recent educational reforms passed by the new Conservative government, abolishing the tradition of police not being allowed to enter University property, and intensifying the course of studies in Greek Universities.
There is now a time limit that a student may attend University, contrary to previous practices.
Education Minister Kerameus posted a response tweet after the incident.

”We will continue to debate, even if some are accustomed to using violence to enforce their views. This is what our debt and our responsibility to the citizens dictate,” the Minister noted in her message.
Government spokesperson Stelios Petsas also commented on the attack at the Ministry, declaring that the Greek government ”will not be intimidated.”
