Agreement on ''EastMed'' Pipeline to Be Signed in Athens on January 2

The interstate agreement between Greece, the Republic of Cyprus and Israel about the construction of the ”EastMed” energy pipeline will be signed in Athens on January 2, it was made public on Sunday.
The statement was issued by the Greek Prime Minister’s office at the Maximos Mansion.

The statement also notes that the agreement “will be signed by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiades”.
“The Agreement will also conclude with its signing by Italy,” the Prime Minister’s Press Office added.
The ”EastMed” pipeline is a major energy project that aims to bring natural gas from the areas of Israel, Cyprus, and Greece to Italy and the rest of Europe.
