Two Greek Nationals to Be Evacuated From Quarantined ''Diamond Princess'' Cruise Ship

Greek Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias said on Sunday that Greece will soon evacuate the two Greek nationals who are on board the ”Diamond Princess” cruise ship, which has been quarantined by Japanese authorities due to the presence of Coronavirus cases there.
In an interview with Greece’s SKAI television, Kikilias explained that ”We are already coordinating and organizing the repatriation of these two Greeks possibly for next week, in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and all relevant agencies.”
Currently, there are 3,500 people on board the cruise ship, of which 355 have been diagnosed with the Covid-19 type of coronavirus.
The Greek Health Minister did not reveal any other details about the operation; however he reassured the public that ”Any one of our citizens who needs us anywhere in the world will be repatriated, in a proper, structured, and organized way.”
