Greek authorities announced on Wednesday that all student parades which traditionally take place across the country every March 25, on the occasion of Greece’s Independence Day, will be canceled this year.
The decision comes as the latest addition to a series of emergency measures Greece has taken in order to limit the spread of the Covid19 coronavirus.
It is still unclear whether or not the usual military parades will take place.
Greece’s Ministry of Defense will apparently decide on this matter at a later stage.
